Acupuncture and TCM is here to help ⠀
⠀
Moxibustion (Moxa) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique used to turn a breech baby and is recommended to be used around 34 to 36 weeks of pregnancy.
Moxa sticks are used to heat an acupuncture point near the end of the mother's baby toe. ⠀
The reason why we heat the baby toes is that the heat gets absorbed into that specific point which transfers via the meridian (energy channel), upwards to the lower abdomen. Once there, the heat helps relax the muscles in the uterus and increasing the baby's activity, encouraging the baby to turn on its own.⠀
